composition versions

What on earth, you ask, is a "composition version"?

Essentially, it is a draft recording of a song project. These, then, are by no means polished tracks, and differ a great deal from the finished product. Other than with Movement 1 (which I created with notation software), my process with composition versions was to put in a drum loop, throw down a couple of guitars, lay down a few vocal tracks to get a sense of where I was going, and presto! a "composition version." So these pieces include plenty of rough edges that you won't hear in the fully-produced versions.

In the case of this movement, I've been doing a bit of experimenting, so there are additional versions (although it is the same original recording). Here is my first EQ'ed mix. Here is a second mix, with some of the playing errors fixed/smothered, as well as a bit different production on the front end of the choruses. The third mix is largely similar to the second, but adds compression to some of the vocal tracks, and has some tinkering to separate out the vocals more from the instruments.
