A thousand generations. One story.

telling the story

The story of Metanarrative is certainly not original to me. It is simply the story of Scripture.

But the Christian Scriptures are a large body of work, and the new reader sometimes feels overwhelmed at making sense of how all the pieces fit together. That's one reason why I have tried here to highlight the narrative thread of that story.

If you wish to go a bit further than the lyrics themselves, I am expanding the retelling in prose format. I hope you will find this telling to be helpful.

Note: A biblical-theological project of this nature is somewhat ambitious, so the content will be subject to further revision from time to time. This narrative will, Lord willing, ultimately provide the groundwork for a future book, designed to serve as a companion volume to the music.
